Established in 1950 as a roofing distributor, The Tom Duffy Co. rapidly developed itself into a specialized supplier of building materials throughout the 50’s, 60’s, & 70’s. In the 1980’s the company transitioned into flooring supplies and began expanding its reach beyond its early footprint in San Rafael.

In the mid 1990’s the Tom Duffy Co. was acquired by the BR Funsten Co. and further expanded its product offering to over 10,000 flooring items. Today, Tom Duffy is one of the top floorcovering sundries and supplies distributors in the country serving California, Nevada and Arizona. We are proud to feature a wide range of specialty products with local stock in 29 convenient locations of the system components essential for any flooring project. Our Branch Managers have an average tenure of more than 15 years and are valuable resources when it comes to the installation of hardwood, ceramic tile, carpet, vinyl, LVT, resilient, shower systems, and moisture and sound control in addition to sub-floor prep & demo, concrete finishing and more!
